Albertsons 3/25-3/31
Just a couple things stick out to me:
Kellogg's cereal - MiniWheats, Crispix, Corn Pops, or Rice Krispies 12-18 oz. are a $1.67. They were cheaper this last week, but you had to buy 10, and I only had 5 coupons so I didn't end up getting any. If I buy them this week I'll get some FREE milk with 'em with this Extra promo: Buy 7, get 3 gallons of milk FREE. Buy 5, get 2 gallons FREE. Buy 3, get 1 gallon FREE. Voucher will print at checkout, valid on your NEXT shopping trip. Use this coupon: Kellogg’s Cereal, any flavor 10 oz. or larger .70/1 (4-5-09) RP-2/22 to get them for $.97
Kraft macaroni & cheese 7.25 oz. Limit 6 $.49 with the in-ad store coupon. My kids prefer home-made, but it would be nice to have a couple in the pantry.
Carolina smoked white turkey or Hormel cooked ham - Service deli $2.88/lb. For my SF friends at the deli they have coupons for $.55 off each lb of Carolina smoked turkey, plus a mail in rebate form where you save $5 on 3 lbs of turkey or $10 on 5 lbs of turkey. I'm planning on buying 5 lbs (separated into 1 lb increments) then using 5 coupons and mailing the receipt in for a rebate (2.88 x 5 - (.55x5) )= $11.65 minus $10 rebate TOTAL $1.65...hopefully it is decent turkey, I'll sample it before buying because there is nothing worse than rubbery turkey even if it is cheap.
EDITED TO ADD: Some people have said that the rebate isn't good on the sale turkey...read the terms of the rebate first
There are a bunch of Kraft products on sale...buy $10 worth and save $3.
Jell-O pudding .9-3.9 oz. $1.00, $.70 after promo, plus use this printable: $1.00/3 and one half gallon of milk or largerfrom Group B to get 'em for cheaper (though you have to buy milk)
Kraft chunk or shredded cheese 6-8 oz. $2.50 after promo $1.75 if you buy the 2% variety you can save more:
Buy 2 & get $1 OYNSO (that means On Your Next Shopping Order)
Buy 3 & get $2 OYNSO
Buy 4 or more & get $3 OYNSO
Ends 3/29
So if you bought 4 it takes the price down to $1.00 a piece
Nabisco 100 calorie packs 4.4-8.8 oz. $2.50 after promo $1.75. Use coupon: Planters Big Nut Bars, 100 Calorie Pack Honey Maid Delight Bars, or 100 Calorie Pack Chewy Granola Bars, box .75/1 (4-30-09) SS-2/22 to get them for $1.00
Nabisco crackers 6.5-16 oz. (Ritz, Wheat Thins, or Triscuit) $2.50. After promo $1.75. Use coupon: Nabisco Ritz, Wheat Thins or Triscuit, any varieties $2/2 (3-31-09) SS-1/25 to get them for $.75.
Taco Bell salsa 16 oz. $1.00 after promo $.70 (I paid $.90 for this the other day).
Rumor is that the "Sunday Double coupons" are going to be a regular thing so I may wait until Monday to shop, just in case those come out again.

Savvy Shopper Videos
I'm a Pinching Your Pennies girl through and through, but occasionally I see what the savvy shopper from the Daily Herald is up to. On her site savvy shopper deals she has 3 videos that I thought were great.
The first is 19 minutes long and is an overview of how you save money by combining coupons with sales. The 2nd video is 7 minutes long and talks about her method of organizing coupons (binder method). The 3rd video talks about her website, savvyshopperdeals.com . I highly recommend the first video to anyone interested in learning couponing practices, vocabulary, and a few tricks of the trade.

I've Been Suffering from Grocery Depression
It been a tough couple weeks. I'm going through a cycle of: there is nothing to eat, I hate everything I'm serving, I don't want to cook, I don't want to go shopping, there is nothing to eat. Of course we haven't starved. We've got a wide range of frozen meat, breads, soups, and beans on hand. Our produce supply though, is suffering.
Tomorrow, I have nothing going on so I'm determined to get to the store.

According to this blog iprepare the following are good deals too:
*The Country Cream milk is a great price ($9.99) for this brand! I haven't seen it this low for several years. It is usually $13.99 to $16.99.
*I think the SAF yeast is actually $2.50 not $5.00.
*The 50 gallon Water Barrels are a good price at $39.99. I've purchased some with a group order at $34.99. Maceys had them several years ago for $36.99. So I think the water barrels are a four *star* rating.
*The 45 lb. *buckets* of hard red/white wheat are also at least a four *star* rating. You can buy bags for less, but if you want buckets this is a pretty good deal. $16.99 would be a five *star* deal.

February Totals are In
This is how my price sheet looked this month:
Google Document
I read a blog where a lady only spends $60 a week. I spent $69 a week this month, better than last month, but there is room for improvement still :)

Completely Free Stuff
Here are some goodies that I got completely free in February.
From Walmart-
How did I do this? The following coupons come out fairly regularly and with them I know I can get the items free at Walmart. When I see them in the inserts I set them aside so that I can redeem them whenever I make it to that store (which isn't very often).
*The 3 oz Suave lotion is $.97, so use these coupons:
Suave Lotion, any $1/1 (4-5-09) RP-1/11
Suave Moisturizer, any $1/1 (3-8-09) RP-12/14
* The Johnson Buddie bars are $.97, so use this coupon:
Johnson’s Baby product or Johnson’s Buddies product, any excluding trial sizes $1/1 (3-31-09) RP-1/4
* The 10 pack of Schick razors are $1.97, so use this coupon:
Schick Disposable Razor, any $2/1 (3-22-09) SS-2/8
* The Shout wipes are $.97 in the travel/trial size section, so I used a printable coupon for $1 off 1
From Walgreens-
How did I do this? Each month Walgreens offers a few items that are "free after rebate." You buy the items, fill out a form online, and then they will send you a rebate check or a Walgreens giftcard (which is the way to go, since you get a 10% bonus for doing this). This month I got: Revlon foundation and lip gloss, cough medicine, and contact solution. There were more items available for rebate, but they were out of stock. The beauty is that you can use coupons on these items, and still get the full amount back on the rebate. I used 2- $1 coupons on the make-up so I essentially got paid to get these items. The Excedrin was $1.99, and if you bought 1 you got a coupon for $1 off your next order (register rewards or "catalina"). I used a $1 off manufacturer's coupon to make this item free. The candy bars were b1g1 free, and with my b1g1 free manufacturers' coupons they rang up free. The Reynolds foil was on special for $.89, and I had $1 off manufacturers coupons.
You can find a weekly list for Walgreens on Pinching Your Pennies, in the "screaming deals around town" forum.
